Croatian cult theatre ‘Exit’ participated in work of the Creative Forum for Independent Theatre Groups Europe- Mediterranean that was held in Alexandria Library. Exit Theatre performed its well known play ‘Egomania’ that was conceived and directed by Natasa Lusetic who together with Damir Klemenic wrote the text of the play. Lusetic and Klemenic are at the same time the only actors in the play.

In Bibliotheca Alexandrina on July 6, 2006 an the group exhibition “ the Croatian Lighthouses” was opened. In the presence of many guests the exhibition was opened by the Croatian Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Dražen Margeta and Mr. Taher Khalifa, director of the Foreign Relations of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador emphasized very good cooperation between the Croatian Embassy and Bibliotheca Alexandrina in last few years. He emphasized the symbolic meaning of the Exhibition being hosted in Alexandria. The most interesting details of the Exhibition were introduced by H.E. Ambassador to the prominent guests and it’s aim to show the beauty of the Croatian lighthouses and to call attention to the problem of protection of cultural and historical heritage.

Football tournament "A time to make friends" among the Embassies in Cairo was held from April 28 – 29, 2006 in Wadi Degla Sports Club. It was organized by Sport Plus Company and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Ten embassies, among them, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, participated in the tournament. All the members of the Croatian Embassy formed the Croatian team including H.E. Ambassador, Mr. Drazen Margeta.

THE FIRST AAW INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SALON 2006 OPENED ON 16TH OF APRIL
AAW / Atelier of Alexandria received 23 applications from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Thailand, USA, Sweden, South Africa Macedonia, Albania and Croatia plus 111 applications from Egyptian Artists. The selection committee selected more than 190 artworks from 63 Artists. There were two seminars about the Croatian arts and Swedish arts on monday 17 april 2006.
